Groups We Like

SJWPC builds coalitions and puts the weight of 8.2k members behind the excellent work done by other groups in South Jersey. These are some of the groups whose work we admire:

  • Blue Jersey- Progressive NJ news, since 2005.
  • CATA Farmworkers Support Committee- Empowering and educating farmworkers through leadership development.
  • Faith in NJ ~  Faith-based organizing for racial, immigration, economic, and social justice in New Jersey.
  • Food and Water Watch NJ: Pushes government to do its job protecting citizens from environmental threats and works to keep our shared natural resources under public control.
  • Journey for Justice- Organizing low-income and working class communities who are directly impacted by top-down privatization and school closings efforts. Founder of the #WeChoose campaign.
  • Local Progress ~  A national network that supports, connects, and unites progressive local elected officials and allied organizations from across the nation.
  • New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice- Creates and achieves policies in New Jersey that welcome and support immigrants to become rooted economically, politically and socially within the state.
  • New Jersey Badass Teachers Association- for every educator who refuses to be blamed for the failure of our society to erase poverty and inequality, and refuses to accept assessments imposed by those who have contempt for real teaching and learning.
  • Save our Schools New Jersey- A nonpartisan, grassroots organization of parents and other concerned residents who believe that all NJ children should have access to a high quality public education.
  • The Good Government Coalition of New Jersey ~  A nonpartisan grassroots group that works for greater transparency, accountability, and participation to our state and local governments.
